Rory Hie Finish’s 2nd In Indonesian PGA Championship

Rory Hie, former USC All-American and number six rated amateur at one time, finished 2nd in the Indonesian PGA Championship played in Jakarta. Rory shot 68-68-67-72 (275) to finish one shot behind the winner Andre Stolz of Australia. Rory earned $102,000.00 U.S. dollar’s for his efforts.

Rory birdied the last two holes but he lost his chance of winning when he bogeyed the 10th, double bogeyed the 11th and bogeyed the 12th. Rory has worked hard on his game since leaving the University of Southern California. He fought injuries and the pressure’s of turning professional and traveling the world playing courses he had never seen before. The last 2 year’s have been difficult for Rory but his work ethic and desire has carried the day for him. It appears like his efforts are paying off and Rory is looking for a great 2011.

While in the United States Rory worked throughout his junior and collegiate career with George Pinnell at the George Pinnell Golf Academy.
