Kat 2nd on TTC while Garrick Chiu is 2nd on JDL

Katherine “Kat” Muzi, shot a two day total of 146 (73-73) on the difficult Hunter Ranch GC, Paso Robles, CA. Katherine finished in second place, 2 shot’s behind the winner, H. Ko, who shot 144 (73-71). Katherine played well and limited major mistake’s to a double bogey on 11 in the first round. The Kat had 5 birdie’s, 5 bogey’s and a double bogey in the Toyota Tour Cup event.

In JDL action, 12 year old Garrick Chiu, shot 31 (+4) to win 2nd place in the JDL @ Arcadia Golf Course. Garrick had 5 par’s and 4 bogey’s on the par 27 course.

At the El Dorado Spring Classic at El Dorado GC, Mylan Hirata, finished in 3rd place with an 83, while Sherilyn Villanueva finished in 2nd place with an 80 in the Girls 12-13 Division.

Sebastion Vallejo, shot 75 to secure a tie for 3rd place in the Boys 12-14 Division. Sammy Cho shot 90 and finished in 17th place.

The Scholl Canyon Spring event was played on Sunday, with Leeyen Peralta, finishing in 2nd place with a 71 (+11) in the Girls 12-13 Divison.

Jomar Veloso, shot 83 and finished in 45th place in the Boys 12-14 Division at the David L Baker Spring event. Sherilyn Villanueva won the Girls 12-13 Division with a solid 65 (+3), while her friend, Leeyen Peralta finished in a tie for 4th place at 67.

Mylan Hirata shot 89 at the Temecula Creek Inn Spring Classic. Mylan had difficulty with the green’s because she never has played there before Sunday’s event. Not knowing a course put’s a player at a distinct disadvantage. That is why PGA/LPGA Tour player’s go in on Monday/Tuesday to get several practice round’s in, prior to the event.

Korina Guo, Encino, CA, shot 88 and finished in a tie for 13 in the Girls 14-18 Division.
