Kristen Park first round at U.S. Open

Kristen’s first round of the 2009 U.S. Women’s Open produced a 5 over 76. The 5 over, included a triple bogey 7 on number 3, the toughest hole on the course. Excluding number 3 she played a respectable 2 over on the remaining 17 holes. She ran into trouble on 17 and 18 going bogey, bogey.

Kristen averaged 244.5 yds on her drives and hit 9 of 14 fairways on the difficult Saucon Valley Country Club. She hit 12 of 18 greens and had 33 putts for a average of 1.83 putts per hole.

Kristen’s playing partner’s, Birdie Kim, former U.S. Open winner shot 10 over 81, and Hall of Famer, Meg Mallon shot a 7 over 78.
