Trotter and Patipaksiri Perform Personal Bests

Joy Trotter and Lalita Patipaksiri shot career lows to help University of California (UCI) to a school record of 286 at the Golfweek Conference Challenge at the Primm Valley Golf Course in Primm, Nevada. It was the opening of the 2009 Women’s collegiate season that involved 16 conference champions from around the United States.

Joy shot rounds of 71-73-68 for a 54 total of 212. The 68 and 212 is a personal best for the UCI sophomore from Chino Hill’s, California. Joy hit all 18 greens and missed only 1 fairway in her final round 68. Her scorecard had no bogies. Joy’s -4 under score was second to a strong outing by Oklahoma States, Caroline Hedwall who shot 67 in the final round to finish at -9.

Lalita Patipaksiri of Cypress, California shot a personal best -2 under 70 to finish in 32nd place with scores of 80-78-70. The first two rounds were played in stiff winds while the final round was perfect for scoring.

Joy and Lalita are long time students of George Pinnell.
