Jae Choi Qualifies for Japanese PGA Tour


Jae Choi a graduate of Ghar High School, Cerritos, CA., and the University of New Mexico has qualified for the 2010 Japanese PGA Tour. This was Jae’s first attempt at the JPGA Tour and he has made the most out of it with his very consistent play. Jae scored 73-71-69-67-67-71 (-14) to finish in 3rd place in the final stage of qualifying. The Japanese PGA Tour has 3 difficult stages of qualifying to get to the final stage.

Jae has been in Japan since July, preparing for each stage. He has returned to the U.S. two times to visit family and check on his swing progress with long time coach George Pinnell. Jae will return to the U.S. before Christmas and spend the winter preparing for his rookie year on tour.

Jae was a celebrated Junior All-American and NCAA All-American. Jae is looking forward to the 2010 season with his new status and the opportunities the status affords him.
