Choi and Jeon Light It Up In Japan!

Jay Choi and Mi Jeong Jeon both shot -7 in their second round’s of their tour events in Japan. Both rounds included 7 birdies and no bogies. Jay is tied for 2nd place going into today’s final round. Jay shot 68 in the third round of the Dunlop Phoenix 2010 for a total of -7, 3 shots off the lead of Ikeda Yuuta who is at -10. In his last 2 round’s, Jay has needed only 26 putts per round to shoot -10. His first round 74 (+3) was his only over par round going into the final today at -7.

Jay is 21st in scoring with an average of 71.15, but his scoring average in the third and fourth rounds are 70.8 (19th) and 69.92 (13). The 27 year old is looking for his first win and/or 5th top 10 finish in 2010.

Jay is currently 21st on the Japan money list and is in a good position to put an exclamation mark on his rookie season with a good final round today.

Mi Jeong Jeon, a 6 year veteran and Japan LPGA Tour Star shot her 7 under in her 2nd round of the Daio Paper Elleair Ladies Open being played at Elleair Golf Club in Japan. Her round included 7 birdies and no bogies and she ender her round with birdies on 17 and 18. The Japan LPGA Star is looking for her 4th win this year and has 15 career wins in her 6 year’s on tour. Currently she is 3rd on the 2010 money list and scoring average of 71.2105.
