Choi 4th At Vana H Cup KBC Augusta

Jay Choi shot a final round 70 to finish this week’s tournament in 5th place by himself earning $51,666.00 to move him into 18th place on the Japan Golf Tour Organization Money List with 2011 earnings of $295,682.00. Jay finished his rookie season 17th on the Money List.

Jay final round 70 consisted of 3 birdies and a lone bogey. The bright spot for the young player from Southern California is that he limited his mistake’s to only 5 bogie’s in 72 hole’s of tournament play. Jay had 17 birdie’s and 2 eagle’s to round out his final score of -16 (272).

Jay did not like how he finished the tournament with a 3 putt par on the par 5 18th hole. The 3 putt par had no significance on his final position because 3rd place was at -18. Even so, Jay did not have a good feeling about his finish. Overall he is happy with his play this year and is looking forward to the rest of the season.

Next week Jay will tee it up at the Fujisankei Classic at Fujizakura Country Club, Yamanashi, Japan.
