Junior’s Perform Well In SCPGA Junior Tour Event’s

Leila Dizon, Los Angeles, CA., shot a 2 over par 62 to place second in the Scholl Canyon Fall Challenge. The event was played September 223, 2012 at Scholl Canyon Golf Club. Leila’s round consisted of 2 birdies and 4 bogy’s to make up her 62 on the par 60 Scholl Canyon Golf Course.

Kat Muzi, who is leading the Summer Points List for Girls 9-11, was 2 shot’s behind Leila with a +4, 64. Kat had 3 birdies, 5 bogey’s and a dreaded double bogey.

Adrian Chiu, San Marino, CA., shot a 6 over par 42 at the Kikkor Golf Challenge @ Brookside Golf Club, Pasadena, CA. Adrian, had a birdie, par, 5 bogey’s and a double in his 5th place finish in the Boys 9-11 age group. Adrian’s brother, Mason, played in the Boys 12-13 age group but the score’s were not posted on the SCPGA web site.

Ricky Cen, shot a 9 over par 79 and was in 8th place in the Boys 12-13 age group, but many player’s score’s were not posted. Aaron “Dewey” Chang, shot 89.

Aaron’s sister Felicia, competed in the Girls 12-14 age group, but score’s were not posted at the writing of this update.

9 year old Elyse Kim, South Pasadena, CA., shot an 8 over par 44 and was in second place in the Girls 9-11 age group. Player’s were still on the course and score’s were not available.

The highlight of the day was Max Mylett’s round of 8 over par in the Fall JDL @ River View Golf Course. The JDL (Junior Development League) require’s that a boy score no more than 8 over par, three time’s, to be able to advance to the SCPGA Junior Tour. This was Max’s first victory in achieving the 8 over par requirement. Needless to say, there was joy in Max’s home Sunday evening!
