Michelle Thompson & Matt Huo Perform Well In TrackMan Combine

Michelle Thompson, a senior at Foothill High School, Tustin, CA, scored 80.8 in a TrackMan Combine at the George Pinnell Golf Academy to move her into second place in the world for female’s in the month of February. Her 80.8 is good for 17th place including men and women. The TrackMan Combine includes PGA/LPGA/European and all other tour’s around the world. Thompson will graduate in the spring and is committed to Cal State Fullerton where she will play under the guidance of former LPGA Tour Player, Pearl Sinn- Bonanni.

Matt Huo, a 12 year old from Corona, CA, scored a respectable 79.2 to place him in 5th place for February, among all junior players from around the world. Matt is currently in 27th place when competing against all male and female players.

In the Female catagory,Kate Kushi, a junior at Harvard Westlake HS, is currently in 25th place with a score of 68. Isabelle Shee, a senior at Diamond Bar HS, scored a 65.9 and is in 26th place. Elizabeth Fung, a sophomore, scored a 65.5 and is in 27th place.

The combine is a skill’s test that consists of 60 shots to 10 different scoring zones. It is a standardized test with results given continuously throughout the test. A report is immediately available for student and instructor. The combine identifies a player’s strength and weaknesses and is a great tool for player’s to showcase their skills to collegiate coaches.
