Shee & “The Kat” Second Place @ Cleveland Golf/Srixon Champ @ Oak Creek

Katherine “The Kat” Muzi, shot 77-76 (153) to finish in second place behind A. Abjulghany of Newport Beach, CA, who shot 75-75 (150). Katherine is a “young” 12 and is competing in the Girls 12-14 and holding her own, according to her coach, George Pinnell. ” Katherine is getting valuable experience as the competition get’s stronger and the course’s longer,” add’s Pinnell. Katherine won Player of the Year last year in the 9-11 age group.

Kaitleen Shee, playing in the Girls 15-18 group shot 77-73 (150) to grab second place behind M Chou of Santa Ana, CA. Kaitleen played a solid round that was marred by a triple on the fifth hole. She shot a -2, 34 on the back side with a +4, 39 on the front (with the triple).

Kaitleen has performed well this summer in AJGA events, by having two top ten finish’s, one in Kansas and the other in Louisiana. Isabelle Shee, Kaitleen’s sister, will be a freshman this fall and will play golf for UC Riverside.

In other action, Mitzi Duarte won the JDL Summer Series @ Ranch Duarte with a +6, 37. Mitzi is competing in the JDL Girls 11 & under. Mitzi is 10.

Junior Golf IS the future and we all should support the effort’s of the participant’s and families.
