GPGA Junior Action

The summer is winding down and junior player’s are getting in as many tournament’s as they can before they head back to school. Aaron Chang is continuing his improvement as he finished in 8th place at the Alhambra Summer Championship with a score of 77 in the Boys 12-13 division. Mason Chiu shot 78 and finished in a tie for 9th place in the Boys 14-15 division.

In the Girls 12-14 division, Leeyen Peralta shot 82 and finished in sixth place while Elizabeth Fung shot 78 and finished in a tie for third place in the Girls 15-18.

At the Meadowlark Summer Shootout, Sherilyn Villanueva finished in sixth place with a nine hole score of 46.

Aaron Chang finished in ninth place at the Kikkor Golf Shootout at Shorecliffs with an 86 while DukePham-Chang finished in fourteenth place at the JDL Summer Series @ Alhambra with an improved score of 51 in the JDL Boys 11 & under division. Mitzie Duarte shot 49 and finished in fourth place in the JDL girls 11 & under division. Mylan Hirata shot 56 in the KDL Girls 12 & over division to finish in a tie for eleventh place.

Katherine Muzi and Felicia Chang are in Michigan this week playing in the AJGA event at Forest Lake Country Club in West Bloomfield Hills, MI.

Katherine finished in 2nd place in an AJGA PBE Qualifier Sunday while Felicia finished in eleventh place. Both player’s are playing in their first AJGA event out of the state of California.

Congratulation’s to all player’s and continue your efforts to improve your game when school start’s. Your school studies come first, but your golf is a close second!
