“The Kat” Play’s Well in AJGA PBE Qualifer in Michigan

Katherine “Kat” Muzi, tied for 2nd place in the AJGA PBE Qualifier in Auburn Hills, MI. Katherine shot a 77 to tie with Megan Furtney from South Elgin, ILL and Jessica Lee, Oak Brook, ILL. Reva Morris, Newbury, Ohio won the event played on Fieldstone Golf Club of Auburn Hills. Katherine fired a 38-39 (77) in her first AJGA event played outside of Southern California.

The PBE Qualifiers are 18- and 36-hole events which provide an opportunity for AJGA members who have had limited AJGA playing opportunities to compete and continue building Performance Based Entry status.

Felicia Chang, La Habra Heights, CA, finished in 11th place with a core of 41-43 (84).

Felicia and Katherine are in Michigan for the AJGA Junior All-Star at Forest Lake presented by Tom Holzer Ford. The event will be a 54 hole tournament that will start on Tuesday.

There is a little history in the “back story” of Felicia and Katherine’s coach, George Pinnell at Forest Lake Country Club. Pinnell made a hole in one on the third hole of the Forest Lake Club back in the late 70’s when he lived in Farmington Hills, MI.
