Vallejo & Villanueva Win Again!

Sebastian Vallejo, 11, from Torrance, CA, continue’s his winning way’s with a one over par 31 on the par 30, Scholl Canyon Golf Course. Sebastian, birdied the first hole and made bogey’s on 4 and 6 before parring out on 7, 8 and 9 for the victory in the Boys 9-11 division.

Sherilyn Villanueva, 11, Stanton, CA, shot a three over par 33 to win the Girls 9-11 division. Sherilyn managed the victory despite double bogey’s on the first and fifth hole’s. The talented, young player responded with birdie’s following both double’s to win the event. Sneha Yadav, 10, Brea, CA, finished in 6th place with a 38.

At the Brookside Fall Challenge, Garrett Hutchinson shot 77 to finish in a tie for 9th place in the Boys 16-18 division while his brother, Kyle shot 82 and finished in 14th in the Boys 14-15 division. At the Kikkor Golf Challenge at Woodley Lakes, Kyle finished in 14th place with an 86 while Garrett shot 76 and finished in 5th place.

Ali Morallos shot a one over par 77 to finish in 2nd place at the Kikkor Golf Challenge in the Girls 12-14 Division. Ali finished her round strong, playing the last 7 hole’s at -2 under par.

Jomar Veloso, Woodland Hills, CA, shot 46 and finished in 5th place at the Westlake Village Fall Shootout. Jomar play’s in the Boys 9-11 division.

Mylan Hirata finished in 2nd place in the JDL Fall Series @ David L. Baker. Mylan shot a 9 over par 40 but finished strong by playing the last four hole’s in one over par.

In the Toyota Tour Cup Series @ Talega, San Clemente, CA. Crystal Wang shot 82-81 (163) to finish in a tie for 23 while Kaitleen Shee rebounded from a first round 83 to a 73 for a 160 total and a tie for 15th place.

On a sad note, we wish Sunny Whang, Diamond Bar, CA, a quick recovery. Sunny was competing in a tournament when she was hit in the eye by an errant shot. We all hope to see Sunny back on the course as soon as possible.
