Sebastian Vallejo, 12 Torrance, CA, shot 73-74 (147) at River Ridge Golf Club, to beat Matthew Huo, 13, Corona, CA, who posted 75-73 (148) to win the Bridgestone Summer Championship. Sebastian, took advantage of Matthew’s 2 shot penalty that proved to be the difference in winning the coveted Bridgestone in the Boys 12-13 Division.

Roman Aragon opened the Boys 13-15 Division with a solid 74, but was unable to back it up and shot 80 in the second round to finish in a tie for 7th place. Roman’s game was not as sharp in the second round as he posted 8 bogies with no birdies. In his opening round, Roman had only 3 bogies and a lone birdie.

Patrick Ordonez, 11, shot 38-37 (75) in the Boys 9-11 Division to finish in a tie for 7th place.

In the Girls 12-14 Divison, Leeyen Peralta, was disappointed with her two day score of 172 (82-90) to finish in a tie for 17th place. 7 Double bogey’s, a triple and a quad made it difficult for Leeyen’s bid in the championship. Sherilyn Villanueva shot 92-84 (176) to finish 21st.

Elizabeth Fung,16, shot 82-83 (165) to finish in 9th place in the Girls 15-18 Division.
