Kat Muzi Crack’s Top 10 Toyota Tour at La Quinta

Kat Muzi, finished in a tie for 10th place in the Toyota Tour Championship at La Quinta. Kat shot 74-75 (149) to finish 5 shot’s behind B. Baebe who shot 71-73 (144) to win the event. Kat had 4 birdies over the two day event, but gave them back when she posted 9 bogies. Kat was not happy with her performance and vowed to work hard to eliminate the mistake’s.

Michelle Xu, a teammate with Kat, at Walnut High School, opened with a 78 but struggled on the second day with an 81 for a 159 and a tie for 30th place.

At the Toyota Tour Championship, Carlton Oaks Qualifier at General Old GC, Yugo Koshiishi finished in a tie for 9th place, missing the qualifier by one shot. Yugo shot a respectable 75 in his effort to qualify for the Toyota Tour event. In the Girls Qualifier, 8th grader, Mylan Hirata shot 87 and finished in a tie for 19th place. As with most young player’s, Mylan struggled with the short game and selecting the correct club that the shot call’s for. Young junior’s always want to use the most loft they have in their bag and that is a recipe for bogies and double bogies.

At the Dad Miller Spring event, Sherilyn Villanueva tied for 1st with a +5, 76 while Leeyen Peralta struggled with a +10 81.

At the Spring Casta Del Sol event, Sherilyn Villanueva, tied for 1st place with a +6, 66 in the Girls 12-13 division.
