Kristen Park Win’s Playoff In Texas

Kristen ParkKristen Park of Buena Park, California., birdied the first playoff hole to win the Under Armour / Hunter Mahan Championship. She finished the tournament at 2-over-par 218 at the TPC Craig Ranch, in Mckinney Texas. The event was played April 23-25. 36 holes were played on the 24th and the final 18 were played on the 25th.

Four-time Rolex Junior All-American Park finished her final round tied atop the leaderboard with April McCoy of Carrollton, Texas. Kristen rolled in a birdie putt on the first playoff hole to clinch the victory. Despite leading after two rounds, Kristen had to come from behind to force a playoff.

“I was three shots off the lead and then birdied No. 12 to get within two,” Kristen said. “I knew I had a chance then. I had to be patient.”

Kristen played the event with a new set of woods, irons and putter that she put into play only 2 weeks ago. ” I guess the change of equipment paid off, said her coach”, George Pinnell. It should be noted that Kristen shot 31 on the front nine of the first round.
