Fox Birdie’s Last Hole To Win The Taylor-Made Spring Championship

Bradley Shaw a sophomore from Chino, Ca., won the Taylor-Made Spring Championship contested at the Soule Park Golf Club, Ojai, Ca. Bradley shot 73-73 (145) in the 2 day event to best Brett Silvernail of Ventura, Ca.

Bradley Fox has been working hard to rebuild his swing with his coach, George Pinnell. It has been nearly a year, since Fox and Pinnell have worked together to put Bradley’s swing on plane and get the desired ball flight that would produce consistent shot’s that would give Bradley the confidence to win.

Bradley shot 34/38 for a even par round in the first day of the 2 day event. Even par put Bradley in 3rd place behind 2 player’s who were tied at -1. The final day was a test for Bradley, to do what Coach Pinnell has instilled in him to do, and that was to finish his rounds with par’s or better. Bradley was tied for the lead going into the last hole. It was either settle for a par and a possible card-off for the win, or take charge and make a birdie on the final hole to win outright. Bradley chose the latter.

Bradley not only won the event but the winner of the Taylor-Made Spring Championship is awarded an exemption to enter into a AJGA event of his choice.
