Kristen Park Fire’s 66 At Mission Hill’s!

Kristen Park a senior to be, at Sunny Hill’s High School in Fullerton, California, shot a career best 66 in the ClubCorp Mission Hill’s Desert Junior. Kristen’s 3 day total of 213 -4 (76-71-66) was not enough to overcome Alison Lee’s -6 (210) who won first place in the AJGA event.

Andrea Gaston (USC coach) text Kristen’s coach, George Pinnell and told him Kristen could have easily shot 64 or 65 had a couple of putts dropped for her. Kristen told Pinnell, “that she was happy with the round, but said if I had seen the round, I would have been frustrated with her play.” Kristen said, “I hit the ball well for 3 day’s, hitting 15 green’s the first day, 16 the second and 17 today.” She went on to say, “that she felt she could have moved it to a 62 or 63 if she had not putted so poorly, overall.” Kristen missed a couple of putts that she normally would not miss, adding to her frustration. Overall, Kristen know’s that she can build on the 66 and can post a good number without her A game. A trait that all great player’s have been able to do.

Kristen will leave Friday afternoon for the Rolex Tournament of Champions that will be played at the Blessing’s Golf Club in Johnson, Arkansas, June 28 – July 2.
