Kristen Park Win’s 2010 TOC!

Kristen Park won her first AJGA Invitational and it is the biggest win for the 17 year old since she won the 2007 U.S. Girl’s Junior. Kristen birdied the last 2 hole’s to win the prestigious event by 4 stroke’s over the 2010 U.S. Public Link’s champion, Emily Tubert. The 17 year old shot round’s of 73-73-73-71 (290).

This was a great win because of the strong field and the degree of difficulty of the Blessing’s Golf Course. Kristen, although she made several mistake’s in the 4 day event, kept her composure and her mind on the task at hand. The champion was able to come back from any mistake’s she made by making birdie’s at crucial time’s during the tournament. Kristen told her coach, George Pinnell, ” that I had a good feeling coming into this tournament that something good was going to happen.” Pinnell responded, “at your level of play, you should go into every event with the thought of winning it or being a factor in the outcome”.

Kristen’s next event will be the U.S. Girl’s Championship and from there she will play in the Canon Cup for the West Team.
