Jae Choi, a rookie on the Japan PGA Tour finished in a tie for 29th place with round’s of 73-72-70-72 (287). Jay was unlucky with the draw of his tee time’s the first 2 round’s because of extensive weather delay’s. In the first round, Jay played only 12 holes before the horn blew for the player’s to evacuate the course. He finished the round the following day and then played only 4 hole’s of the 3rd round because of darkness. As a result of the delay’s, Jay was unable to get into a rhythm that he usually is able to achieve.
The “Classic” was played at Otaru Country Club, Hokkaido, Japan. His performance netted him approximately $11,000.00 and put him in 30th on the season’s Money List. The top 70 on the Money List retain their playing privilege’s on tour for the following year. Jay is #1 in par 3 scoring and 13th scoring on par 5’s.
