Park Selected For Junior Ryder Cup and The Duke of York Young Champions Trophy

Kristen Park of Buena Park, California was chosen to participate in the 2010 Junior Ryder Cup that will be contested September 27-28 at Gleneagles Resort in Perthshire, Scotland. Kristen was chosen because of her strong play and performance in major events this year. Kristen won the prestigious Rolex Tournament of Champion’s and The Hunter Mahan AJGA event in 2010. Kristen was on the winning West Canon Cup Team with a record of 4-1-0.

Prior to the Junior Ryder Cup, Kristen will play in the Duke of York Young Champion’s Trophy event that will be played September 14-16 at the Royal St. George’s, Sandwich, Kent, England. This is the site for the 2011 British Open. The entry is by invitation only and those eligible must be a National Champion in the preceding 12 months approved by the Tournament Advisory Board. Anthony Paolucci, of Rancho Sante Fe, California was selected to join Kristen as the male participant from the United States. This event is a world tournament and will feature 2 player’s, a boy and a girl, from each country.

Kristen will be spending 2 1/2 week’s playing and traveling England and Scotland. What a great experience for a great young player.

Kristen and Anthony have both given verbal commitments to attend USC in the fall of 2011.
