Rory Hie Staging A Comeback In Singapore

Rory Hie a graduate of Cerritos High School and All-American at USC competing in the Iskandar Johor Open in Singapore. After the second round Rory is in 29th place after shooting 72-69 (141). This is significant because this is only the 2nd cut Rory has made in 10 appearance’s on the Asian Tour.

The talented young player, who is currently living in Jakarta seemed like a good bet to be very successful after leaving USC for the professional ranks. Rory was one of the top ranked amateur’s in the world prior to moving to Jakarta. Rory had a physical problem related to his eye’s that caused his play not to be up to the standard’s he was used to. Once Rory left the Los Angeles area for Jakarta, he also left behind valuable instruction resources.

Rory Hie is one of the hardest working player’s according to his coach, George Pinnell. “Rory was 24/7/365, always looking for way’s to improve his swing. Hopefully, Rory has found his “groove” and will continue to perform up to his capabilities,” Pinnell added.
