Jay Choi Slide’s To 8th At Dunlop Phoenix

Jay Choi started the final round of the Dunlop Phoenix 2010 in a tie for 2nd place after getting into position with a second round 64. Jay’s final round 73 with a back nine 38 (+3) put him into eighth place. Jay told his swing coach, George Pinnell, “I am hitting the ball all over the place. I am having problem’s getting my driver in play.” According to Pinnell, Choi’s driver has always been an asset because of his length and accuracy. But the course’s in Japan are a bit more narrow and Jay’s length sometimes gets him into trouble.

Jay’s eighth place finish put him into 18th place on the money list with winning’s of just under $500,000.00 for the season going into the Casio to be played this week. Jay informed Pinnell that he would be playing in the Tour Championship that is reserved for the top 25 on the money list. 2010 has been a great year for the rookie from Wildomar, California. He is looking forward to finishing the season strong and then getting stateside to see his family and friends and get a little rest.
