Jason Semthiti has strong showing at LA City Men’s Championship

Jason Semthiti, a recent high school graduate, made a strong showing in the City of Los Angeles Men’s Golf Championship by posting rounds of 68-72-72-71 (283). The 17 year old finished 6 shot’s behind Tyler Weworski of Carlsbad, CA. with a winning score of 71-68-70-68 (277).

Jason has committed to play college golf for the University of California, Riverside and is enrolled for the fall semester. Jason has worked 7 year’s with his long time coach and mentor, PGA Member George Pinnell of the George Pinnell Golf Academy in Rowland Height’s, CA. Pinnell is coaching Jay Choi, Japan PGA Tour player who finished 4th in a tour event 2 week’s ago and was 17th on the 2010 Japan Money List. Pinnell has also worked with NCAA All-American, Tiffany Lua, Mi Hyun Kim of the LPGA Tour, Mi Jeon Jeong, ranked 24 on the Rolex Women’s World Ranking’s and 2010 Rolex Junior Player of the Year, Kristen Park. Overall Pinnell has worked with 31+ junior All-American’s and 3 NCAA All-American’s.

Jason is working hard to make his presence known on the UC-Riverside Men’s Golf Team.
