Michelle Thompson Win’s At Scholl Canyon

Michelle Thompson won her first SCPGA Tournament with a +7 (67) at the Scholl Canyon Summer Championship. Michelle was not satisfied with her score but it was good enough to win the Summer Championship.

Michelle, a former competitive swimmer from Orange County has decided that her future will be in golf. After making that decision, Michelle is working 4 to 6 hour’s a day and has committed herself and all of her energy to getting better at a game she has played for only 2 year’s. Michelle’s coach, George Pinnell, has said that her distance with her iron’s is already LPGA length. “Michelle has to learn how to “play” the game and get more experience on the course. Her work ethic is superb. It is just a matter of time until she learns to trust herself and her swing while playing in competition”, according to Pinnell.
