Jay Choi’s Pair Of 69’s Has Him In 21st Place

A pair of 69’s has Wildomar, CA., resident Jay Choi in a tie for 21st place in the Japan PGA Tour (JGTO) event being played at the Vana H Cup KBC Augusta in Japan. Jay’s round was pretty pedestrian, consisting of a birdie and a bogey on the front nine for an even par 36. On the back side Jay eagled (his 2nd of the event) 13 and made birdie on the par 5 18th for a backside 33 and a second round score of 69.

Choi’s coach, George Pinnell, said, “Jay is playing with more consistency in the past several week’s, limiting his mistake’s and taking advantage of the course when he has an opportunity. Patience is a key factor in playing golf at a competitive level.”
