Jay Choi birdied 3 of his last 6 holes to finish the first round of the Mitsui Sumitomo Visa Taiheiyo Masters in a tie for 6th place, 3 shots off the lead of Toru Suzuki, who is at -6. 2011 Master’s champion, Charl Scwartzel is tied for 2nd at -5. The event is being played Nov. 10-13, at Taiheiyo Club, Gotemba Course.
