Trotter Open’s With 66 At Tres Rios

Joy Trotter opened the Cactus Tour Event at Tres Rios, Arizona, with a 66 that gives her a first round lead of 4 shot’s over second place, Lori Atsedes. Trotter, from Chino Hills, CA., is in her second season on the tour and has had outstanding results. The young, former UCI (University of California) player is preparing for the LPGA Qualifying School by keeping a fully schedule building up to the July Qualifier Tournament.

Trotter worked in the off season with her coach George Pinnell, working on keeping her club on plane and being more consistent with her club face at impact. Joy reported to Pinnell that, “my ball striking has been really good and that I need to get a little more consistent with my short game and putting.”
