Trotter Back’s Up 66 With 68 On Cactus Tour

Joy Trotter is making her mark on the Arizona Cactus Tour. Joy has won once this year (5 win’s overall) and has had six top 5 finish’s in 2012. Trotter is working hard on finishing her round’s and backing up a round with another good one the next day. Joy’s nine hole score’s today were -1, -3 for her 4 under 68 at the Tres Rios Cactus Tour Event. Her two day total of 134 give’s her a 6 shot lead over the “veteran” Lori Atsedes of The Big Break. Lori has shot a pair of 70’s for a 2 day total of 140.

Joy spoke with her coach George Pinnell after the round and said that she was striking the ball well and was able to place it where she needed to. The young player finished strong with birdie, eagle on 17 and 18.

Joy will return to California after the tournament ends on Wednesday and will leave Friday for Sarasota, FL where she will play an event on the Symetra Tour, the developmental tour for the LPGA. The event, the Sara Bay Classic will be contested April 20-22. Joy is happy to have the opportunity to play in the Symetra event and said she will make the most of it.
