“The Kat” Win’s Again At Glen Oaks

Kat Muzie, 11, won the Glen Oaks “9 Hole” Summer Championship, adding another victory to her resume. The youngster from Walnut, CA, shot a +4, 31 to tie with Brianna Park of Arcadia, CA. Kat won in a card off with Brianna.

Kat’s interest in golf has been increasing since the first of the year. She recently told her mother, Lucy, and her coach, George Pinnell, that when school is out for the summer, she wants her mom to drop her off at South Hill CC so that she can practice for 5-6 hour’s every day this summer when she is not competing. This regimen of practice came only from Kat which make’s it especially meaningful and will certainly speed up her learning curve.

Leeyen Peralta finished a shot behind Kat and Brianna with a +5 (32). Leeyen is another young player with a nice future in golf.
