Breann Fox 2nd At Taylor-Made Ventura County Championship

Breann Fox, Chino CA, finished in 2nd place at the 2012 Taylor-Made Ventura County Championship, one shot behind the winner Divya Manthena, Camarillo, CA. Breann, who will be a sophomore this fall shot solid rounds of 74-73 (147) to finish 3 shot’s ahead of Marvi Monsalve, Taguig, CA, who shot 77-74 (151).

Breann and Divya, battled throughout the two day championship and Breann was in position to win until Divya got hot and made birdies on 14, 15 and 16, while Breann birdied 15 and made a fatal bogey on the 18th to lose by a shot.

Breann was disappointed with the loss but was extremely happy with her performance in such an important championship. It was also gratifying because her great-grandmother, grand mother, grand father and mother witnessed her outstanding performance.

Breann’s brother Bradley is also a player and will be playing for the University of California, Riverside (UCR) as a freshman this fall. Look’s like the brother/sister duo would make a good match play team. Both player’s are coached by George Pinnell at the George Pinnell Golf Academy.
