Trotter Rally’s For T17 On Symetra Tour Credit Union Challenge

Joy Trotter shot a one under par 70 to finish in a tie for 17th place at the Credit Union Challenge contested in Albany, New York. Joy shot 68-73-70 211 (-2) on the par 71 Capital Hills at Albany GC. Jaclyn Sweeney shot 68-67-68- 203 (-10) to win the event and the $15,000 first place prize money.

Joy’s final round was marked by seven par’s in a row before she birdied the par 5 eighth hole. JT played the first sixteen hole’s at -1 but made her only bogey of the day on the par 4 seventeenth hole. She backed the bogey up with a birdie on the par three eighteenth to finish the back side with an even par 35 to go with her one under par 35 on the front side.

Trotter, from Chino Hills, CA, is playing her first year on the Symetra Tour (developmental tour for the LPGA), formerly The Future’s Tour. Joy has played in seven of the ten Symetra Tour events in 2012 and is 78th on the Money List.
