“The Kat,” Second At Bridgestone Summer Championship

Katherine “The Kat” Muzi, shot 73 (+1) to finish in second place behind the winner Karah Sanford who shot an even par 72 to win the SCPGA Bridgestone Summer Championship. The Bridgestone was played at on the Palms Course at Menifee Lakes Country Club.

Katherine shot 36-37 (73) and had only 2 bogey’s along with a lone birdie to stay 2 shots ahead of Angelina Kim and Kailie Vongsaga who finished tied for third place at 75.

Katherine’s good play has continued throughout the summer. She is a top candidate for the Summer SCPGA Girls 9-11 Player of the Year award.

Elyse Kim an up and coming 9 year old, shot 44-42 (86) to finish in 11th place in the Championship.

Katherine and Elyse are both student’s at the George Pinnell Golf Academy.
