Lalita Patiapaksiri Qualify’s For Stage II At LPGA Q School

Lalita Patipaksiri has qualified for Stage II of the 2012 LPGA Qualifying School. Stage I has just completed and Lalita shot 67-77-72-75 (291) to be within the top 60 who will move on to Stage II.

Stage I was contested at LPGA International, Daytona Beach, FL, where 240 women began the week trying to play well enough to play their way into the top 60 so that they could move on to Stage II in Venice, Fl, October 9 – 12, 2012.

Lalita shot a final round 75 that was somewhat of a grind for the talented 21 year old from Cypress, CA. She shot 3 over on her front nine but settled down and shot a hard fought even par 36 on the back side. Lalita’s dream since she was 9 year’s old, has been to play golf on the LPGA Tour and this week she made another step toward that goal.

According to her long time (12 yrs) coach, George Pinnell, “Lalita has certainly put in the effort and time required to play golf at the elite level. Most young players and their parents do not realize the time required to excel at the elite level. Lalita, early on, recognized the requirement that she needed to practice from 4-6 hours a day during the school year and in the summer she practice’s all day. She meet’s the criteria of the 10-Year/10,000-Hour Rule, from the acclaimed research of Dr. Anders Ericsson of Florida State University.”

Let’s all wish Lalita a great Stage II so that she can move on into the Finals in Daytona Beach, November 28-December 2, 2012.
