“The Kat” Second At River View Fall Challenge

Katherine “The Kat” Muzi’s finished in second place with a 2 over par 70 behind Madeline Chou’s 71, at the River View Fall Challenge in Santa Ana, CA. “The Kat” got off to a quick start in the Girls 12 – 14 age group, with two par’s and then three birdie’s in a row to go -3 after five hole’s. A bogey on 6, was followed by another birdie on 7. Kat had 5 birdie’s, 7 par’s, 5 bogey’s and a dreaded double bogey on the sixteenth hole.

The young 12 year old has continued her hot play in 2012 and is working hard to cut down on her mistake’s that lead to bogey’s. Stay tuned.

In other action at Riverview, Leeyen Peralta shot a 39 to tie for first place with Briana Chacon. Leeyen lost to Briana in a card-off that resulted in Leeyen getting second place. A double bogey on the last hole cost Leeyen the win outright.

Max Mylett shot a seven over par 34 at the Fall JDL @ Terranea Resort to pass the requirement that a player need’s to score +8 or better, three time’s, to qualify for the Southern California Junior Tour. Max finished in a tie for 8th place.

Jeremy Kong, a new student at the GPGA, shot 39 (+12) and finished in 16th place.

In the Girls 15-18, Elizabeth Fung finished in 4th place with a 90.

On the Toyota Tour Cup, Breann Fox finished in a tie for 9th place with rounds of 79-80 (159). The up and coming freshman recently shot a 71 to advance to the second round of the CIF 2012 Championship. Much more to come form Breann!

At the Kikkor Golf Challenge @ Marshall Canyon, Ron Hui finished in a tie for 8th place in the 9-11 Age Group. Rick Cen finished in a tie for 7th with an 84 in the Boys 12-13 Age Group. Else Kim finished third in the Girls 9-11 with a 54.

On Saturday, October 20, Adrian Chiu shot a +12, 48, at the Morongo Fall Challenge at Morongo Golf Culb at Tukwet Canyon. That put Adrian in 10th place in the 9 hole event for Boys Age 9-11.

Mason Chiu, Adrian’s brother, finished in 15th place with a score of 90 in the Boys 12-13. Rick Cen finished in 11th place with an 86.

Kat Muzi finished in 7th place with an 85 in the Girls Age 12-14.
