Kait. Shee T7 @ TTC @ Classic Club

Kaitleen Shee, a freshman at Diamond Bar HS, finished in a tie for 7th place at the Toyota Tour Cup Series @ Classic Club, Palm Desert, CA. Kaitleen shot 79-80 (159). Brigitte Dunne, Camarillo, CA, won the event with rounds of 73-70 (143) +8.

Kaitleen is a young player who has an abundance of speed in her swing, according to her coach, George Pinnell. They are working on “taking the slack” out of her swing in an effort to give her more control with her speed to produce more predictable ball flight.

Katherine “The Kat” Muzi, finished in 17th place with round’s of 82-87 (169) +25. The 12 year old from Walnut, CA, is rebuilding her swing and is also working on “matching up” and making a more “connected, tighter” swing, to better control her ball flight.

In action on the JDL Circuit, Mylan Hirata, La Habra Heights, CA, finished in a tie for 11th with a +13, 40 at Heartwell Golf Course, Long Beach, CA. The Junior Development League (JDL) is for those juniors who are entering competition and are working their way to the “Junior Tour”. Girl players are required to score +10 or better three time’s to gain entrance into the SCPGA Junior Tour. Boys are required to score +8 or better, three time’s to gain entrance.

Yiyi (Double E) Ouyang and his father finished 2nd in the JDL Parent/Junior Team Scramble @ Casta Del Sol. Yiyi and his father shot a -3 (28) to finish a shot behind Hogan Park and his father, who shot -4 (29).

Ron Hui, 11, finished in a tie for 11th at the Golf Academy of America Spring Classic at Brookside Golf Club. Ron shot a +8 (44) and felt he could have scored better if he would have putted better.

Leeyen Peralta, Brea, CA, won first place at the Kikkor Golf Classic @ El Dorado (El Dorado Park Golf Course, Long Beach, CA). Leeyen shot a +6 (42). The 11 year old had 4 par’s, 4 bogy’s and a double bogey in her win. Leeyen has been working diligently to improve her putting skill’s because she has came to the realization that the short game and putting are the avenue’s to success in golf.

Result’s in the Dad Miller Spring Classic were not available.
