Ali Morallos 7th at Toyota Tour Cup Series- Pala Mesa Resort

Ali Morallos secured her first ever, top ten, in a Toyota Tour Cup Series. The up and coming junior from Long Beach, CA, shot 77-80 (157) to tie for 7th place. E. Takada won the event at Pala Mesa with an outstanding tournament total of 145.

Ali made mistake’s early in her final round but finished strong with par’s on 14-18 to secure her tie for 7th.

Katherine Muzi, had a good event and finished in a tie for 16th with round’s of 79-83 (162). Katherine played well in the first round by keeping her highest score on a hole to a bogey. In the second round, Katherine had problem’s by making an 8 on the par 4, ninth hole, a double on 14 followed by another double on 15 before paring out on 16-18.

Felicia Chang finished in third place at the Players Tour Slam & Big I Qualifier. Felicia would have tied for first place but she was penalized for the ball moving while making her backstroke on the green. “A learning experience”, her coach, George Pinnell explained to her. Felicia shot 85 on the Indian Wells CC, Indian Wells, CA. It was a difficult day to play because the temperature was near 110 an they finished their round’s.

Aaron Chang, a 12 year old from La Habra Heights, CA, shot 78 to finish in a tie for 7th place (his best finish) at the Kikkor Golf Open at Brookside, Pasadena, CA. Aaron’s sister, Felicia had a more difficult time, finishing in a tie for 12th. Ricky Cen shot a nice even par 70, to finish in second place behind C. Brown’s, -1, 69.

Sherilyn Villanueva, Stanton, CA, finished in 6th place with a 45 in the 9 hole event for Girls 9-11 at the Brookside GC.
