Leeyen Peralta Win’s At Fullerton and Heartwell While Leo Lu Tie’s First

Leeyen Peralta, Brea/Pasadena, CA, shot a 78 to win the 12-14 Girls Division of the SCPGA Junior Tour event at Fullerton, CA. Sherilyn Villanueva shot 43 (+11) to finish in 4th place in the Girls 9-11 division. Leeyen doubled up on her victories as she also won the Heartwell Fall Challenge by scoring a 2 over par 56. Felicia Chang shot 61 and tied for 6th place while Sherilyn Villanueva and Sneha Yadav tied for 8th place with 32 (+5) in the Girls 9-11 division.

In the Boys 9-11 division, Leo Lu shot 38 to tie with G. Lu and J Wu.

In more action at Heartwell, Kyle Hutchinson shot a one over par 55 to finish in 4th place in the Boys 14-15 Division. Garrett Hutchinson, (Kyle’s brother) shot 58 and tied for 2nd place in the Boys 16-18 Division.

Kyle Hutchinson shot 82 and finished in a tie for 11th place (Boys 14-15 Division) at Meadowlark GC, Huntington Beach, CA, while Garrett shot 79 and finished 5th in the Boys 16-18 Division.

In JDL action, Yi Yi (Double Yi) shot 36 (+7) in the JDL Fall Series @ Pico Rivera. Yi Yi need’s only one more JDL score of +8 or less to graduate to the Junior Tour. In the JDL Girls 12 & over Division, Mylan Hirata shot 43.

Congratulation’s to Katherine Muzi, for her personal best score of 68 with her first ever hole in one, Leeyen Peralta and Leo Lu for their win’s (Leeyen 2) and all of the junior’s for competing in the SCPGA Junior Tour and JDL events. Special “shout out” to Fish Chang for her qualifying for her first Toyota Tour event.
