Huo Win’s At Jurupa Hill’s While Yadev Win’s At Newport Beach

Matthew Huo, 13, won the Jurupa Hills Fall Classic with a four over par 74. Matthew had two birdie’s to go along with six bogey’s to notch his victory. A Zhou was second with an 81.

Sneha Yadav won the Newport Beach Fall Challenge by scoring an even par 29 to win by a shot over R. Zhang, who posted a one over par 30, in the Girls 9-11 Division. Sneha had two birdie’s and two bogey’s in her even par round. Sneha is in the process of rebuilding her swing so this is a particularly a “sweet” victory for her.

Leeyen Peralta finished in a tie for 4th with a 66 (+7) in the Girls 12-14.

In JDL action, Mitzie Duarte won the Girls 11 & under Division with a +3 over par 30 at the JDL Fall Series @ Manhattan Beach.

Aaron “Dewey” Chang and Roman “Romo” Aragon, tied for 2nd place at the TTC (Toyota Tour Championship) Cypress Ridge Qualifier @ Olivas Links. Aaron and Roman shot 77. Aaron shot two over on the front side with a pair of bogey’s and three over on his back side that included a bogey and a triple bogey on the 17th hole. Roman shot 40 on the front side with a string of bogey’s on two-five. Roman got his swing and short game under control and shot one over par on 6 thru 18. Roman used his 3 wood off the tee so that he could control his ball a little better in the windy conditions. He had spent Saturday with his coach, George Pinnell, working on “flighting” his ball.

In the 12-14 Girls Division, Felicia “Fish” Chang, shot 80 and finished in a tie for 4th place.

Katherine Muzi finished in a tie for 25th place at the Toyota Tour Cup Series @ Cross Creek, while Crystal Wang finished in a tie for 34th place, one shot behind Katherine. Katherine shot 87-81 (168) while Crystal shot 90-79 (169). Saturday’s first round was played in windy condition’s that contributed to the higher than normal score’s. A. Abdulghany, navigated the wind’s and posted a winning score of 152 with a pair of 76’s.
