Jay Choi Steady In Japan Open

28814_600400 Jay Choi rebounding from a mediocre first half of the 2013 season played steadily in the Japan Open over the weekend. The Open was played at the Ibaraki Golf Club East Course, Ibaraki, Japan. Jay finished in a tie for 34th place with round’s of 75-69-73-73 (290). As in all “Open” event’s, condition’s of competition are more stringent than at “normal” tour event’s. The fairway’s are more narrow and the rough is usually more penal and the pin placement’s and green speed’s are more difficult and faster. 4 over par was the cut line after the second round.

The Japan Golf Tour will play the Bridgestone Open this week at the Sodegaura Country Club in Chiba, Japan. Jay will be continuing his effort to improve his performance for the 2013 season.
