The second round was more consistent. Katherine had 15 par’s, no birdie’s, two bogey’s and a triple bogey on eight. Katherine’s coach, George Pinnell, commented that, “Katherine is still young and learning her way around the course under tournament condition’s. She will mature and continue to make adjustment’s that will show up during the 2014 season.”

Katherine has had an outstanding year playing in 37 event’s on the Southern California Junior Tour. She had 4 win’s, 8 second place finishes, 17 top 5 finishes and 22 top ten finishes in a year where she is competing against 12-18 year old player’s.

Katherine took second place in her first AJGA Junior All-Star at Forest Lake, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. A par on the 54th hole would have won the event for “The Kat”, but an untimely bogey let Allyson Geer, Brighton, Michigan, tie her and force a playoff. Kat eventually lost and finished in second place with round’s of 79-74-75 (228).

Katherine has a super support system in her mother and father who make time for her to be able to practice and compete on a regular basis. Look for Katherine to have more growth in 2014!
