January 30, 2014 Ryan Carter, former Scholastic All-American at Fresno State is tied for 5th place at -7 after the third round of the OneAsia Qualifying School at Pacific Palms Resort (Old school will remember it as Industry Hills).
Ryan in playing on familiar turf at Pacific Palms.  This is where the young lefty cut his teeth, playing golf.  Pacific Palms is also where he met his coach, George Pinnell who has fond memories of Ryan spending time after school and summer day’s “bugging” the staff, while working on his game.
In the third round, Ryan got off to a blistering start with 3 consecutive birdies on 1, 2 and 3 before making par on 4, followed by another birdie on 5.  A bogey on 6 and a double on 7 (both are tough par 4’s) followed by a birdie on 8 gave Ryan a -2 on the front side.  Ryan settled down with par’s on 10-13, before making birdies on 14 and 17 to close out with another 34 and a 68 (-4) on the day.
Ryan has been traveling the globe playing on various tours around the world after graduating from Fresno State.
Nearly 200 people have already signed up for the final states of 2014 Q-School, with 10 spots up for grabs at Pacific Palms, CA.
