Back Side Slide = 5th Place

Katherine Muzi, the talented 13 year old 8th grader, was 4 over par on her last 4 holes to finish 5th in the Toyota Tour Cup Series @ River Ridge.  Katherine made a double bogey on 15, par on 16 and bogeyed 17 and 18 to score a 76 to go along with her opening day of 75.  The collapse on the final 4 holes cost “The Kat” a shot at her second TTC win in two weeks.  Her two day score of 151 was only 3 shots off the winning score of 148 by E. Takada, Irvine, CA.
According to Katherine’s coach, George Pinnell, “Katherine will learn from her finish on Sunday and will take that experience into her next event and be more aware of finishing strong.”
Felicia Chang, got off to a difficult start on the second day and went on to finish in a tie for 25th place at 169 (82-87).
At the La Mirada Spring Classic, Sherilyn Villanueva and Sneha Yadav, tied for 7th in the Girls 9-11 age group with a score of 44.  In the Girls 12-14, Precious K Saelee finished in a tie for 6th with a score of 79.  Precious rebounded from a difficult event last week.  Mylan Hirata, finished in a 18th place.
Matthew Huo, finished in 35th place in his effort to qualify for the TTC Carlton Oaks Qualifier@ Shandin Hills.  A bogey, bogey finish along with two double bogies and a triple contributed to his score of 84.
At the Willowick Spring Classic, Yi Yi Ouyang finished 12th with a score of 47.
Precious K Saelee finished in 9th place with an 86 in the Girls 12-14 division while Elizabeth Fung shot 86 and finished 5th in the Girls 15-18.
Mitzie Duarte won the Garb JDL Spring @ Newport Beach #1 with a 37.
Roman Aragon, shot 80 and finished in a tie for 10th place at the Hansen Dam Spring Classic.  Roman had what would be considered an “erratic” round that included 2 doubles, a triple, 5 bogies and 4 birdies!  I wonder what was going on with “Romo”?
