Elizabeth Wang Victorious at Rolex Girls Junior Championship

1photo (3)4 year old, Elizabeth Wang, shot 1 ovwe par in the final round of the 72 hole, Rolex Girls Junior Championship to win the major junior event by a shot over Amy Lee, Brea, CA. Elizabeth went out with a -2 under par 33 on the front side and made it a little difficult on herself with a back side 3 over par 38, and a 71. Amy Lee shot a one over par on the front side while shooting even par on the back side. That was not enough to overtake Elizabeth’s solid play earlier in the week. Elizabeth shot 68-73-71-71 (283). The victory is Elizabeth’s first AJGA Invitational win and she is super proud of her achievement this week.

Elizabeth will travel to Nashville, TN, later this month to compete in the Rolex Tournament of Champions. The victory in Rochester, NY, will add to her confidence level going into the TOC.
