Michelle Xu on the move at SCPGA/LA County 2-Day PTC

Michelle Xu, a 15 year old freshman at Walnut High School, Walnut, shot a -3 under par 33 on her front nine to help her finish in 2nd place at 149 (77-72) in the SCPGA/LA County 2-Day PTC event at Chester Washington Golf Course. Michelle’s front nine consisted of 4 birdies and a lone bogey for her 33. Unfortunately, she made a double on 11. She made a birdie on 14 but backed the birdie up with a bogey to finish at 39 on the back 9.

Michelle was super happy with her play because she has been going through swing change’s with her coach.

Sebastian Vallejo won the Boys 12-13 division with a two day score of 142 (72-70). Sebastian limited his mistakes and was able to make 6 birdies that helped him to the win. Jomar Veloso finished in 8th place with a 178.

Roman Aragon finished in 11th place in the Boys 14-15 Division. Roman shot 76-79 (155).

In the Girls 12-14 Division, Sherilyn Villanueva, finished in 15th place with a two day total of 163 (80-83).

At Willowick in the Players Tour Challenge, Keen Laparojkit finished in 4th place with an 88 in the girls 12-14 Division.

In action at the Meadowlark Players Tour Challenge in Huntington Beach, CA, Doubles Ouyang finished in a tie for 11th with a score of 50. Doubles played in the 9-11 Boys Division. In the Boys 12-13 Division, Patrick Ordonez shot 92 and finished 17th.

Crystal Wang fought back from a less than perfect first round 82, to post a solid 71 to finish in a tie for 14th at the Toyota Tour Cup Series @ CrossCreek GC. Leeyen Peralta finished 35th with a 2 day total of 167 (87-80) while Andrea Han shot 84-89 (173).
