Kano, Chang Score Victories at El Prado Spring Classic While GPGA Junior’s Play Well Over the Weekend

Gabby Kano, an 11 year old from Fullerton, CA., won the El Prado Spring Classic by 5 shot’s. Gabby shot 38 (+2) in the nine hole, Girls 9-11 Division. Gabby is on a good trajectory to have a good year in 2016. She made 7 par’s and 2 bogies in her victory at El Prado.

Reina Tain shot 85 to finish in 5th place.

Michelle Chang, won the Girls 12-14 Division with a 74 (+1). Michelle had 3 birdies, 10 par’s and 4 bogies in her victory. Reina Tain shot 85 to finish in 5th place.

In the Boys 9-11 Division, William Li, Pasadena, CA, shot 43 and finished in 7th place.

At the Nike Camps at Dad Miller GC, Gabby Kano, shot a 40 (+5) to finish in second place. Gabby had a good weekend with a win and a second place finish on the SCPGA Junior Tour.

Warren Oetojo, shot 98 and finished in 21st place in the Boys 12-14 Division.

IMG_1005Catherine Yu, shot 79-75 (154) to finish in 2nd place in the Girls 15-18 Division at the Rancho San Joaquin two day event. Catherine made bogies on one, two and four to go 3 over in her first 4 hole’s of the second round. The talented player from Chino Hills, CA, then shot even par on hole’s five thru eighteen. Michelle Xu, shot 79-81 (160) to finish in a tie for 6th place.

David Sun, shot 72-77 (149) to finish in 2nd place in the Boys 12-14 Division, while Brooke Li, finished in 3rd place with a two day score of 76-75 (151).

Ben Lee, shot a pair of 78’s (156) to finish in a tie for 23rd place in the Boys 15-18 Division.

In Toyota Tour Cup action at La Costa GC, Kat Muzi, finished in a tie for 10th place with round’s of 75-80-77 (232). Anna Dong, shot an opening round 71 but fell into a tie for 18th place with 85-81 in her 2nd and 3rd round’s. In the Boys Division, Ryan Hong, shot 75-79-77 (231) to finish in a tie for 35th.
