“The Buf” passes first hurdle to get to the Junior Tour

Tyler “The Buf” Shin, shot a 7 over par 41 on the Junior Developmental Tour (JDT), pass the first of 3 hurdles to get over before moving on to the SCPGA Junior Tour.  Player’s are required to score a +7 over par, 3 times within a year, to qualify for the Junior Tour.  Tyler, a rookie, needed a par on the final hole to make the required +7 over par score.  This is his first +7 or better in 3 try’s.  Tyler is working, semi hard, to qualify as soon as he can to move up to the Junior Tour.
Aidan Han, another rookie, shot a +11, 45 to miss the +7 requirement. 
Bella Yang, 12, shot 84, and finished in 4th place on the Junior Tour at Anaheim Hills Spring Event.
At the Costa Mesa Spring Event on the Mesa Linda Course at Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club, Ed Shum, shot 90 and placed tied for 28th in the Boys 12-14 Division.
Amanda Lee, a junior, finished 3rd in the National Tour Spring Challenge on the Future Champions Golf Tour.  Amanda, shot 77-77 (154) on the Pala Mesa Resort CourseAmanda, competed in the Girls College Prep Division. 
Amanda’s sister, Megan, a freshman, won the Girls 13-14 Division, with scores of 82-81 (163).
Rose Zhang, played in the Ana Junior Inspiration, and had a difficult weekend when she finished in a tie for 22nd place.  Her 74-79-74 (227) was not up to her standard’s in the 54 hole event sponsored by the AJGA.  The Ana Inspiration was played in a collegiate format of 36 holes on Saturday and the final 18 holes were played on Sunday.  The winner Lucy Li, will be exempted into this weeks Ana Inspiration LPGA Major at Mission Hill’s in Rancho Mirage, California.
