Amanda Lee ties for 8th at 2017 Los Angeles City Junior Championship

Amanda Lee, Chatsworth, California, tied for 8th place in the Los Angeles City Junior Championship, played at Wilson and Harding GC in Los Angeles. Amanda, fired rounds of 71-77-76 (224) to tie with Vanessa Wang, Rowland Heights, California. Amanda, was satisfied overall with her performance, but was somewhat disappointed that she left a few shots out on the course. Beth Lillie, Fullerton, California, won the event with rounds of 68-68-68 (204). Amanda’s sister, Megan, missed the cut with round’s of 83-79 (162).

In the boy’s championship, David Sun, shot 71-77-76 (224) to finish tied for 18th. Chrisitian Lingamen, shot 83-77 and missed the cut.

In the SCPGA Junior Tour at David L Baker, Garrick Chiu, shot 77 and finished in 20th place in the Boys 12-14 Division. Kora Chiu, shot an 86 and finished in 8th place in the Girls 12-14 Division. Bridget Chantharath, won the Girls 9-11 Division with a solid 42, at the Rancho California Spring event at the Golf Club at Rancho California.

Michelle Chang, missed qualifying for the Toyota Tour Championship Bear Creak Qualifier. Michelle, playing the qualifier at Green River GC, shot 77 and lost in a card off for the 4th qualifying position. Michelle, will leave for Orlando, Florida, to play in the AJGA Qualifier for this week’s tournament at Disney World.

In JDT action, David (SloMo) Kim, fired a +3, 34 to tie for 3rd place in the event at Rancho Duarte Golf Course. David’s +3 score is a career best for the 10 year old from Diamond Bar, California. Jackie Li, finished 10th with a 46 in the Girls 11 & Under Division.
