Team Zhang/Dong Advance into Round of 16 at U.S. Womens Four-Ball

Rose Zhang and Anna Dong, knew that they had to play well to advance into the round of 16. They were correct. Elle Nachmann and Dana Williams, who shot 71-69 (140) were ready for the pair from Southern California. Nachmann and Williams birdied the first hole while Zhang and Dong made a par. Being 1 down after one hole was not a good sign. Rose, picked up the slack, with a birdie on number three to go back, to All Square. Nachmann and Williams, proceeded to birdie, back to back on 5 and 6 to go 2 up thru 6 hole’s. Both team’s made par’s on 7 and 8. From hole 7 thru 18, Nachmann and Williams, made 2 bogies, while Rose made birdies on 14 and 16, while Anna, birdied 17, to close out the match, 3 & 1.

Team Zhang/Dong, will face off in the Round of 16, with Amanda Minni/Ellie Slama, at 8:00 am, Tuesday, May 30. The victor’s in the Round of 16, will tee it up for the Quarter-Final’s, Tuesday afternoon. As Rose, said, “it will be a long day.” We will see.
